I specialize in multi-year bookkeeping cleanup using QuickBooks Online.

I am located close to Ottawa, Ontario and work virtually accross Canada.

Support For Business Owners

If your bookkeeping is two or more years behind, I can help you get it back on track.

Many business owners are focused on running their company and simply don’t have the time to stay on top of reconciliations and reporting. Over time, things build up and it becomes harder to know where to start. That’s where I come in.

I provide structured, professional cleanup services to bring your books up to date in QuickBooks Online. My goal is to give you accurate financial records so you and your accountant can move forward with confidence.

Important: I don’t handle tax returns, so you will still need to work with an accountant for that.

Support for Accounting Firms

I also work directly with accounting firms that have client files who are several years behind on their bookkeeping.

When a file needs to be reconciled and caught up before year-end work or corporate tax preparation can begin, I step in to handle the cleanup inside QuickBooks Online.

I understand what accountants expect: reconciled accounts, clean balance sheets, accurate HST reporting, and properly recorded expense transactions.

My role is to do the cleanup so your team can focus on the final review and tax returns.

Accounting Software I Use

I work exclusively with QuickBooks Online, the cloud-based accounting software trusted by small businesses. It’s secure, reliable, and gives you anytime, anywhere access to your financial information.

As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I’m certified to help you get the most out of your software. That means I can organize and catch up your books, customize it for your business, and answer questions along the way.

Important: I work only with businesses that already have QuickBooks Online set up.

My Cleanup Services

Every bookkeeping file is different, but a typical multi-year cleanup includes:

  • Reconciling all bank and credit card accounts
  • Reviewing and correcting balance sheet accounts
  • Reviewing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Checking and correcting HST reporting
  • Reviewing payroll entries, if applicable
  • Cleaning up shareholder and loan accounts
  • Clearing duplicate or temporary accounts
  • Reviewing expenses to ensure all are entered correctly

My goal is not just entering missing transactions — it’s to make sure your books are accurate and complete so you and your accountant can rely on them.

How Much Do I Charge?

Because every business is unique, I don’t use cookie-cutter pricing. Instead, I start by reviewing the information you provide through my intake form below, which asks a few key questions about your business and how far behind your books are. If it looks like a good fit, I’ll send you a clear, customized quote and invite you to book a short virtual meeting to confirm details before any work begins.

Hi, I’m Jacqueline Walker, the owner of Maple Country Bookkeeping. I’ve been working in the bookkeeping world for over 20 years and have had the opportunity to support a wide range of small businesses along the way. Bookkeeping isn’t just what I do — it’s something I’ve built my career around step by step.

My journey started in 2000 when I completed the Bookkeeping Clerk Certificate program at Conestoga College. In 2003, I registered my first bookkeeping business in Southern Ontario. About a year later, I moved to the Fraser Valley in British Columbia, where I continued growing my business and working closely with local small business owners.

In 2006, I expanded my experience by joining a chartered accountant’s office as an accounting assistant. During that time, I prepared corporate year-end files for tax returns using CaseWare, handled GST and PST filings, payroll remittances, and WCB reporting. This role gave me valuable insight into year-end processes and the standards expected by accounting firms.

With that experience, I returned to self-employment full time in 2011. Since then, I’ve provided month-to-month bookkeeping, payroll processing, T4s, government remittances, for many clients using Simply Accounting and QuickBooks. I also assisted my clients through CRA audits, completed a SR&ED claim and working closely with business owners and their accountants to ensure accurate year-end reporting.

In 2018, after relocating to Ottawa, I paused my business to focus on family. In early 2025, I officially returned to bookkeeping and became a member of the Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada, as well as a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.
